Black and Latino children have historically been left out of climbing

Rock climbing has become an increasingly popular sport. Despite this increase in popularity, rock climbing has failed to become more diverse. In both of our climbing regions, we are one of the few Black / Latino climbers, despite there being 400+ competitors in each of our regions.

We hope to cultivate a more welcoming environment in the climbing scene, and we hope to inspire confidence in the next generation of athletes.

Who we are

We are Conrad Booker and Nyasha Knigge, two Black youth competitive climbers in high school at the Trinity School NYC.
