Our Goals

1. Youth Development

We aim to instill confidence in the upcoming generation of athletes. It has often been the case that children from ethnic minorities have been typecast into specific sports, and our mission is to challenge these stereotypes by demonstrating that one can excel in a wide range of alternative sports.

2. Access

We are dedicated to eliminating the longstanding obstacles that have prevented access to climbing. We believe that climbing should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. We provide free rock climbing classes to children enrolled in Police Athletic League's programming.

3. Community Development

Our goal is to create a community of young climbers that is reflective of NYC's diverse demographics!

What makes us different?

We are young Black climbers participating and competing in USAClimbing's Youth Series events. We understand the experience of being in isolation (iso) and not finding anyone who looks like us, particularly as we progress to higher-level competitions such as nationals.

Moreover, our commitment lies with the youth. While many gyms already provide programs like BIPOC climbing nights, these initiatives are primarily geared toward adults. As passionate teenage climbers, our primary goal is to introduce the next generation to this sport.
